LISBURN

Have you been looking for an opportunity for your young people to impact their community? Well look no further. A project called Street Reach Lisburn, now in its third year, will be taking place in five areas across the city of Lisburn over the Easter break, 27th– 29th March 2008. The project is practical in nature giving young people in Year 11+ the opportunity to express their faith through simple actions such as street parties, children’s clubs, games, creative arts, painting, graffiti removal, gardening and litter picking. We feel that it is important for the young people of our city to go and show how God has changed their lives and how they want to serve Him in their community. This is an amazing opportunity for young people from all church denominations to come together united by their passion to serve God in a practical way.

StreetReach Lisburn 2008 will be working in Lambeg, Hillhall/Low Road, Knockmore/Tonagh, Ballymacash, and City Centre. The cost is £20, which includes dinner for the three nights and a Streetreach Lisburn T-shirt. A typical day will consist of a morning worship/devotion session, two work sessions, lunch (bring your own packed lunch), and dinner. On Saturday 29th we are hosting an outreach BBQ/Concert in the centre of Lisburn from 4:00pm, followed by a celebration time for Streetreachers.

DATES: - March 27th -29th

BALLYNAFEIGH

GLU means God Loves You. We are doing practical work in the community (similar to Streetreach projects) from Tuesday 1st July - Saturday 5th July, 2008. On the Saturday, we will hold a big community fun day - free bbq and activities, in a local park. All ages who love the Lord are welcome to come on board. The 5 churches on the Ormeau Road have a committee with 6 members on it. We are wanting 20 committed Christians to sign up from each church - 100 people altogether. There will be a registration fee. Willowfield Streetreach 2008
20th - 24th August
Our goal is to show the grace and love of God in tangible ways. Our heart is to demonstrate in practical ways to the community that God cares for people’s everyday lives. One of the best ways to do this is by painting a fence, lifting rubbish, weeding a garden, giving away gifts, street BBQ’s, running a children’s club etc.

Interested?

You need to be 16+ and willing to try something new and let God do something awesome in and through you.

Cost 18+£30 , all others £20

Accommodation & meals will provided in the church hall on the Woodstock Road
